NAVFAC & USACE Fall Protection Competent Person Training

3 Day Course - Classroom and Hands On

Location: 9663 Tierra Grande Street, Suite 106; San Diego, CA 92126

Time: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm

As of May 2016 (18 months from the EM 385-1-1 November 2014 manual effective date), the education requirements for the Competent Person for Fall Protection training will be changing. The changes listed in section 21.C.04 Competent Person for Fall Protection is the following:

"A minimum of 24 training hours (3-day course), with a combination of formal classroom training and practical applications."
To facilitate the changing training requirements, Kugan & Associates has teamed with industry specialists to provide the appropriate training courses.

At course completion, students will be given a certificate of completion in Competent Person for Fall Protection.

Required Material:

You need to bring your own PPE to the course.

Your personal safety boots, hard hat, eye glasses, gloves, and a full body harness are required.

• 29 CFR 1926 Regulations - Subpart M

• EM 385-1-1 Regulations - Chapters 21, 22, & 24

• Fall Protection Plans and Fall Protection Procedures

• Preparation, update, review and approval of Fall Protection and Prevention plans, and Rescue and Evacuation plans

• Risk assessment and hazard ranking

• Applicable fall protection regulations

• Selection and safe use of equipment

• Donning a Full Body Harness equipment

Cancelation Policy:

All course registration cancelations must be made no later than 72 hours prior to the start of the class. If you do not cancel and do not attend the course for any reason, you will be responsible for the full course cost. Substitute attendees can be named at any time.
