Event Details

Bring a snack/dinner and your favorite beverage up to the highest point of Edgewood County Park and Natural Preserve where you'll have unobstructed views of the sun set and the moon rise. Friends of Edgewood will supply wine, water, and some tasty snacks. This event is one of two replacemens for our June 23 event that had to be postponed due to weather. Please note that this event starts at 6 pm, while the other replacement event on September 20 starts at 6:30 pm.

This walk covers approximately 3 miles of trails of moderately sloping terrain. Bring water, a hat, a flashlight, sturdy shoes, and clothing appropriate to the early evening weather. This walk is geared to adults, but capable, attentive children 10 years and older are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Rain or thick cloud cover cancels.

Meet at the Clarkia Trailhead on Canada Road. If you are coming along I-280, exit at Edgewood Road and head west toward the mountains. Turn left at Canada Road and continue under the freeway overpass. Park on the dirt strip on the freeway side of Canada Road just south of the I-280 onramp.

Please visit Friends of Edgewood for information about other events at Edgewood County Park and Natural Preserve.
