Event description

Description

A fun and relaxed lead walk through some of Bristol's under-explored natural areas. We will start at Sea Mills train station, head along the Severn Way to Kings Weston Estate, then return through Blaise, alongside the Trym and back to Sea Mills - approximately six miles. Writer and researcher Nikki Jones and a professional nature conservationist will be leading the walk and they'll be able to answer your questions about the flora and fauna we find. Sustainable Westbury-on-Trym will also be in attendence to provide information on plans to conserve and improve the river Trym.

The suggested donation is £5 with all the money raised going towards Avon Needs Trees's campaign to purchase 34 acres of land near Chippenham. The charity's aim is to reforest for carbon sequestration, improved biodiversity and natural flood management.

All are welcome including well behaved dogs. The walking is through woodland so please wear sensible boots/shoes! Food / drinks will be available at Kings Weston House (not included).

Please book, and we hope to see you there!
