Join us for a weekend adventure as we explore and celebrate the mysteries of spring migration. Using birds as our focus, we'll explore the natural history of the landscape – investigating connections between bedrock, soils, plant distribution, animal behavior, bird ecology, and much more. We will also introduce and practice some core routines for developing more intimate relationships with our feathered neighbors.
Cost is $300/person (includes tuition & meals) plus optional accommodations $65/person/night (double occupancy).
“Bedrock to Birds will allow you to enjoy a richer understanding of how the rocks, soils, trees, plants and birds are all part of an interwoven fabric we generically call "the environment". You'll never look at the woods in your backyard the same way again. “ Ed Sharron, 2013 Participant
