Event description

Description

In May and June of 2018, Graham will be leaving his native LA to embark on a tour of the United States where he will be talking about the world of natural dyes and giving away clippings of real indigo plants. Join us on Sunday, June 3rd from 12-1pm for a free lecture on natural dyes, and leave with your very own indigo plant. To ensure you have a seat, please RSVP below.

Afterward, ten lucky participants will get private instruction on drawing and cutting stencils, mixing rice paste, pinning fabric and printing, and dyeing their very own katazome. Please see those details and RSVP HERE.

About Graham Keegan

Graham Keegan is a textile designer working exclusively with natural dyes. Having learned through the study of the historical record and lots of hands-on experience, he now teaches others to dye. Graham advocates for the use of natural color by distributing dye plants, seeds, books, and kits. He specializes in print design using traditional block-print and hand cut stencil techniques. His prints are used by boutique designers and international brands for garments, home goods, accessories, and wallpapers. You can learn more about Graham and natural dyes here, here, and here.
