Description

Come out to Friendship Farm Park and learn the fundamentals of tree identification with Luke Gustafson, Extension educator. Participants will learn some of the identifying features for tree identification and become familiar with some of the native tree species common throughout southern Maryland.

The guided walk will start at the trailhead parking lot and go mostly around the mowed path by the meadow area.

What: Native Tree Identification Walk

When: Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 2:30 to 4 pm

Where: Trailhead parking lot at Friendship Farm Park, 4705 Friendship Landing Road, Nanjemoy, MD 20662

Who: Open to the public

Don’t forget: tree ID guide/field guide, sturdy shoes, & appropriate clothes for the weather
