Description

So now you know that native plants are generally better for the ecosystem and can even help reduce garden maintenance and expenses – but which ones will work in your garden? This class will review native plants suitable for any garden: from sun to shade, wet to dry, trees to groundcover – even containers!

This talk is presented by Marc Radell, always a favorite presenter at Edge of the Woods. Marc Radell has been a Master Gardener Volunteer with the Penn State Extension of Montgomery County since January 2002, where he conducts educational outreach about eco-friendly gardening, native plants, and attracting wildlife. Marc lives on a 4.5 acre property in central Montgomery County, which is certified as a National Wildlife Federation Backyard Habitat and a Monarch Butterfly Way Station. His goal is to reestablish native plant communities and thus attract birds, butterflies, and other wildlife. Professionally, Marc works as an Environmental Planning Manager at a leading engineering firm.
