Native Plant Maintenance for the Homeowner

You've added native plants to your landscape. Now what?

Sue Tantsits, EOTW owner and Horticulturist, will address how to manage your landscape as a system that plays a role in the ecosystem and provides visual appeal. Starting with plant selection and following your plants through the season, she will help you understand how native plants fit into a managed landscape.

The program will answer many of your questions, such as

• When do I cut back my plants?
  
• What if something is eating my plants?
• What do I do about weeds?
• My plants are getting too tall for my space!
• When do I prune my shrubs for a natural shape?
• How do I manage pests and what is IPM?
• Do I need to mulch?

....and many more.

There will be time for questions from participants.

The program is for adults and interested teenagers.

The program is held in our covered garage. It is open to the weather on one side. Please dress appropriately. Event is held rain or shine.

Please leave your pets at home. The nursery is a non-smoking facility.

If you are unable to attend, you may send someone in your place.

There is no need to print or bring your ticket.

Refunds for tickets can be issued if ticket is cancelled 7 days before the event. After that time, we are unable to offfer refunds in the event you are unable to attend. Please send a friend in your place. Any funds left after we have met our expenses for the event will be donated to habitat projects within the community.
