JUANITA RAMOS-CORUM - Resident Medicine Woman
Juanita is respectfully known also as "One-Eye Hawk Woman" and known as an "Indi-Pino". Her parents were of Asian Pacific Island, Spanish and Native heritage. Seven years ago, standing before a massive First Nations drum circle, she was given the blessing by the elders to practice their traditional Earth medicine on non-tribal people. She is only one of two medicine people in the country permitted to practice traditional Native Medicine on non-tribal people. Juanita is the carrier of an ancient medicine bag for 22 Native American nations, and is committed to sharing with others the benefits and wisdom of traditional Native American Earth medicine for the healing and blessing of Mother Earth and of all people, empowering others to be their own medicine bag, teaching getting back to and giving back to communities.
