Native American Folk ART Traditions: Animal Inspirations in Oil Pastel
with Megan Holden, Fine Artist

Tuesday, July 17, 6:00-8:00pm, ages 6-11
$27 if registered by July 1 ($37 after July 1)
*registration includes a set of oil pastels to take home for creating more art inspired by nature!

Be inspired by legends and folk tales from Native American culture as you listen to drums and other rhythms while creating an animal portrait in vibrant color. Learn about the variety of ways in which nature and wildlife inspired our earliest Americans and provided essential support for their existence. Students will use rich oil pastel colors, exploring color theory and blending techniques as they construct portraits of these beautiful woodland creatures. All materials provided.
