Event description

Description

Thank you for your interest in being a volunteer at our Reality Store event. We are exited to have you at our event and help us engage our youth with college and career readiness.

The Reality Store is an interactive experience for students to learn more about financial literacy and careers. Our event will have 17 tables, and each table needs at least one volunteer. Students will be provided a salary amount and then visit each table to work on a monthly budget: rent, food, insurance, and more. As the students visit the tables, the volunteers will talk with the students about the monthly cost and help the students calculate the cost within their allotted budget.

Training for volunteers is minimal (2-3 minutes) and all material will be provided to the volunteers the day of the event. No experience necessary - just a willingness to teach and give back to our Native youth.

Volunteers must be arrive between 5:00 pm and 5:20 pm to be assigned to a table and provided information to discuss with students. A light dinner will be provided to volunteers.

Because we are relying heavily on our volunteers for this event, we ask those who are serious to committing to participating actually register.

Again, we are delighted to have you volunteer for our event and look forward to meeting you.
