Official National Women Build Week Sponsor

National Women Build Week celebrates women and their passion and drive to help the communities in which they live in and the ones that surround them. This year will mark the 11th Annual Women Build Week here at Habitat Suffolk. 100% of the funds that are donated go directly toward our Women Build program.

This year's National Women Build Week is May 5-May 12 with Lowe's as the official National Women Build Week Sponsor. The week reinforces the message that every woman can make a difference through learning and using construction skills. More than 98,000 women from all 50 states have volunteered at the nine previous National Women Build Week events.

To participate in a build during National Women Build Week, either as an individual or with a group, the donation requirement per women builder is $25.

Habitat for Humanity of Suffolk

Habitat Suffolk is a non-profit home builder creating affordable home ownership opportunities in partnership with low/moderate income families in need.  Recently we began construction of our 188th home in Suffolk County, continuing to fulfill the dream of homeownership.  This milestone is achieved through the hard work of our dedicated board, staff, thousands of volunteers and the financial sponsorships of businesses, faith groups, foundations and individuals like you.  We continue to be an important part of the solution to the affordable housing crisis by providing quality, affordable homes to hard-working families and their children.

Habitat Suffolk believes in putting our faith into action by giving our deserving partner families a hand up, not a hand out.  Habitat homes and affordable no-profit mortgages allow parents to focus on their careers, children on their education, families on their future.  We not only meet an important need for affordable housing in our county, we work with our partner Habitat families through every phase of the process- from application to ground breaking to the move-in day.

The financial support we receive, in addition to the thousands of volunteers who assist us, helps us make a positive impact in many Suffolk County communities like North Bellport, Central Islip, Bay Shore, and Mastic Beach… to name just a few of the communities where we build from Wyandanch to Orient Point.  Habitat for Humanity of Suffolk is not a giveaway program.  It’s a partnership.  Our mission hasn’t changed because the needs haven’t changed.  Families are waiting, homes need to be built and renovated and communities need to be uplifted.  Your support will give a hardworking, deserving family a safe and decent place to call home, a place to feel secure and a renewed sense of community.
