Celebrate National Trails Day at Dakota Ridge!

BACKGROUND: National Trails Day is the country’s largest celebration of trails. It’s a day to give back to the public lands we utilize and love so much. Trails are a boon to our economy, they protect our natural resources, and they help us recharge our mind, body and spirit. You can be a critical part of ensuring this important resource is available for generations to come

WHY THE WORK IS IMPORTANT: Jefferson County Open Space is aiming to give the community an opportunity to give back to the trails they take advantage of and love by joining us in the construction of the Dakota Ridge Trail. Volunteers will be using hand tools to build sustainable rock structures such as, bank turns, rock walls, steps and drops. This is a unique opportunity to create a mountain bike friendly black diamond experience that will last for years to come.
