Event description

Description

Watch live theatre productions from the UK right here in Skaneateles! The library is hosting a season of National Theatre Live in 2018, which will be shown at Waterman Auditorium. Each NTL broadcast is filmed in front of a live theatre audience, allowing movie-goers world-wide to view the productions on screen as if they were actually there.

Our spring production is JM Barrie’s beloved classic Peter Pan, captured live at the National Theatre in London.

About the play: All children, except one, grow up…

When Peter Pan, leader of the Lost Boys, loses his shadow, headstrong Wendy helps him to reattach it. In return, she is invited to Neverland, where Tinker Bell the fairy, Tiger Lily and the vengeful Captain Hook await. A riot of magic, music and make-believe ensues.

A delight for children and adults alike, Sally Cookson (NTL: Jane Eyre) directs this wondrously inventive production, a co-production with Bristol Old Vic theatre.

Total run-time (including trailers and credits): 2 hours, 58 minutes

Suggested rating: UK broadcast rated PG for families with kids (ideal age range 6-13 years old)
