National Standard Instructor - Driver trainer CPD

From April 1 2017 Transport for London has stipulated that lead cycling instructors who want to deliver the practical element of Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) 'Safe Urban Driving' accredited practical course MUST have attended a NSID course.
Understand the aims of Driver CPC
Sharing CPC delivery experiences
Understand how this course fits in with the training competencies
Managing challenging driver behaviour — negative and positive
Publications and schemes supporting freight in London
Deliver aspects of the cycle training module (theory and practical aspects)
Please note that instructors that wish to deliver NSID must be NSIQ (see lead instructor requirements below).
Participants must be NSI qualified instructors
What can I bring into the event?
A roadworthy bike (for practical modules). Contact us if you need bike hire
SUD CPC lead instructor requirements:
- Hold a valid Cat B driving license with 3 or less penalty points
- Be an NSIQ
- Have attended an SUD course
- Have a minimum of 35h cycle training experience
- Have knowledge of CLOCS, FORS and WRRR
- Have knowledge of DCPC
- Have undertaken the NSID course
