The presentational method for this activity will be Case Presentation with Learner Participation, Panel Discussion, and Lecture. This activity is geared to meet the educational requirements of Family Practitioners, Neurologists, Neurosurgeons, Internists, Radiologists, ER Physicians, EMS technicians, Physician Assistants, ICU nurses, and Nurse Practitioners. This activity will encompass the following desirable physician attributes: Patient Care & Procedural Skills, Medical Knowledge, Professionalism, Interpersonal & Communication Skills, and Practice-Based Learning & Improvement.

Desired Outcomes

At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

1. Recognize the signs of stroke, appropriately distinguish the types of stroke, and provide initial management

2. Identify different types of neurovascular malformations and their advanced management protocols

3. Identify neuro trauma that needs special attention and provide initial critical management

4. Discuss the advanced treatment protocols of brain tumors

5. Communicate effectively with patients and their families about importance of early recognition of symptoms, risk prevention and importance of lifestyle modifications

6. Identify the signs and symptoms of trigeminal neuralgia and Chiar Malformation
