National security and the right to privacy: is human rights law the answer?
Event Information
Description
Join us for a Q+A with TWBI member James Brady, a researcher on human rights issues at the intersection between armed conflict, democracy and technology.. He will run us through an introduction to the theory of surveillance and control, major international surveillance practices, models of extraterritorial application, and the international jurisprudence on the protection of the right to privacy.
As usual, there will be plenty of time for Q+A and discussion.
All welcome at this event.
