Join us as Queens Library celebrates National Library Week with our Book Banquets. Each author's work reflects the diverse, active literary life of our city. Ina Yalof is the author of Food and the City, a broad look at the vendors and chefs who keep NYC fed. She will will give an author talk, followed by a Q&A session and book signing. Plus, enjoy a meal with the author!

Ina Yalof has spent her professional career as an investigative journalist and nonfiction author reporting on a variety of diverse topics such as medicine, science, religion, and happiness. She has also taught fiction writing in Dartmouth College’s ILEAD program. Her newest book Food And The City is a fascinating oral history from an unforgettable gallery of New Yorkers who embody the city's culinary heart and soul.





Tickets Purchase Policy

Queens Library programs are a free to the public. In order to make the programs available to the most number of people we are limiting general admission tickets to 2 per individual. Multiple orders per individual are not allowed and will be cancelled. This policy ensures that no-shows are reduced and tickets are available to the most number of people.
