International Key Speaker - Professor Marie Beaulieu
Research Chair on Mistreatment of Older Adults
Sherbrooke University, Quebec, Canada
Marie will speak on a community program, the Bridging Project, which supports older people who are at risk of elder abuse.
Fiona York, the Elder Abuse Project Officer of the Ethnic Communities Council of Victoria, will screen the video about elder abuse, Within My Walls, made for culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
Freda Vrantsidis, from the National Ageing Research Institute, will speak on outcomes of interviews with 30 clients of Seniors Rights Victoria and the impact of interventions and outcomes.
The forum will provide opportunity for questions and lively discussion and is open to seniors aged 60 and over. To attend the Forum, you must register by selecting the green Register link in the top right hand corner of the screen. This is a free event.
