Event description

Description

New York University (NYU) will host the 12th Annual National Dominican Student Conference (NDSC) in NYC from March 23rd to March 25th 2018. This year’s conference theme is “Bridging the Gap: Navigating Dominican and Dominican-American Identity.” We will discuss the interdisciplinary understandings of our intersectional identities in a historical context and the way they shape the present and future of our community.

NYU was founded in 1831 by Albert Gallatin, Secretary of the Treasury under President Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, with the intent to establish "in this immense and fast-growing city ... a system of rational and practical education fitting for all and graciously opened to all." New York University has growisin into one of the nation's leading institutions of higher education, a dynamic and prominent research university that is "in and of the city" with an academic presence that spans the globe.

The conference will feature fresh ideas and new programming that will encourage interaction between our attendees and speakers, and many more other surprises. If you have any questions regarding the 12th NDSC, please feel free to post them on our FB page!
