National Cheese Lover's Day: Mozzarella and More

Description
Celebrate National Cheese Lover's Day by learning how to make your own mozzarella cheese, taught by local chef, Jered Couch. Participants will learn about the history of mozzarella cheese making, how to judge great mozzarella, and get to take home freshly made cheese. We will also prepare three dishes using mozzarella: roulade caprese, bocconcini meatballs, and citrus fruit burrata, as well as sample wine pairings. At the end of class we will sit down to enjoy this outstanding shared meal together. Recipes to take home and beverages available for purchase. Ages 21 and up. Registration ends Tuesday, January 16.

A Culinary Institute graduate, Jered Couch created, owned and was the head chef at three excellent local restaurants: The Dish 2003-06, Sixonesix, and The Dish 2013-16. He is three time winner of the Local Iron Chef Competition and was also mentioned in Thrillest as one of the "10 Best New Chefs of the West".

What is JUMP?

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
You may bus, bike, drive, walk, skip, etc. Check Boise's bus schedule at www.valleyride.org. We love bikers and have beautiful bike racks to secure your ride. If you plan to drive, paid parking is available in Simplot's below ground parking garage, which is accessible from Myrtle Street between 11th and 9th Street. Please note, Simplot's below ground parking garage is only available after 4pm until 6am on weekdays, and all day on weekends. Apologies, the JUMP parking garage is currently under construction.
Do you have accommodations for people with disabilities?

What is the refund policy?
We depend on your enrollment for a successful class so please plan your schedule carefully. Classes which do not meet minimum enrollment are subject to cancellation. Refunds are issued in full if the class or program is cancelled, if you cancel at least seven days before the starting date of the class, or for documented medical reasons. Please email programs@jumpboise.org to request a refund.
