National Age Group Series and SA Championship

Over 150 riders are gearing up for the final round of the 2018 SA BMX National Age Group (NAG) Series, Legs 7 and 8, as well as the SA Championships from 6-7 October.

Cycling SA BMX Commission are hosting this event at Pietermaritzburg BMX Club in KZN. The Pietermaritzburg BMX track was originally built for the 2011 BMX supercross by Tom Ritzenthale, with changes taking place over the years. The track has undergone a small re-design in anticipation of facilitating the upcoming NAG and South African Championships. The track provides a smooth fast ride, designed to challenge both experienced and novice riders. The members of PMB BMX club look forward to welcoming you all for a fun-filled and exciting weekend of BMX’ing!

The NAG Series attracts South Africa’s top BMX riders, from as young as the under 5 age category, through to the 30+ age category, in the Novice, Expert, Cruiser and Elite classes. All riders are welcome to attend to give BMX racing a try.

Event schedule

Friday 5 October - Official Gate Practice is on from 14:00-16:00.

Saturday 6 October - The day kicks off at 08:00 with the Officials meeting and racing for Leg 7 starts at 09:35. Racing for Leg 8 will start at 13:00

Sunday 7 October - The day kicks off at 08:00 with the Officials meeting and racing for SA Champs starts at 09:05

R50 Parking fee will be charged at the entrance which includes a program

A detailed schedule will be e-mailed to all clubs.

RACE ENTRY FEES

Challenge classes - R400 per rider

Elite Class – R 600.00 per rider

Riders MUST have CSA membership/racing licence and belong to a bmx club to participate in the National event.

Online registration for this event closes on Tuesday 2 OCTOBER at 18h00.
