Event description

Description

Formed in the 1960s, the Conrad Johnson Orchestra (formerly the Conrad O. Johnson Big Band) is comprised of more than 20 professional musicians who bring the legendary style of Conrad Johnson's, "The Big Blue Sound" to life, which has contributed to Houston's deep musical heritage that still shapes and influences the Big Band Jazz sound today.

The Orchestra is joined on stage with Chicago native Caesar who is considered one of the smoothest baritone vocalists in music today. Caesar has toured the world with Julio Iglesias and shared the stage with Herbie Hancock, the late Al Jarreau, Stanley Clarke, Lalah Hathaway, Gerald Albright, Rick Braun, just to name a few. Caesar's album, "Jazz Standards for Today's Audience" was recorded at Hollywood's Capitol Records in Studio A, using the original microphone and Steinway piano Nat "King" Cole used in the 50s.

Together, they will celebrate one of the greatest male vocalists in music history, Nat "King" Cole.
