Join us for an incredible evening of music and information in a comfortable setting! On January 20th, Norfolk's Midwest Music Center teams up with The Loft to bring Nashville to Norfolk with Terry McBride!

Nashville to Norfolk will be a great opportunity for people around Norfolk to attend a show that they will commonly see around Nashville, TN. The Singer/Songwriter shows are fun, intimate performances by people you don’t hear much about that are connected to the major hit songs you hear today on the radio. The artist you hear singing the song may not be the actual writer of the song. So during these performances, you get to hear the story about how the song came to be. The ideas, memories, and concepts of just how the song lyrics were brought to paper are very interesting and fun to hear about.

Terry McBride is a successful musician, singer, and an accomplished songwriter. In 1989 he formed the band McBride & the Ride, a country music group which recorded six studio albums and charted more than ten singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts.

After McBride & the Ride disbanded in 2002, Terry concentrated on songwriting, and through the years since has had songs cut by other artists such as Brooks & Dunn, Garth Brooks, George Strait, Reba McEntire, Hank Williams Jr., Ronnie Dunn, Kix Brooks, Alan Jackson, Trace Adkins, Easton Corbin, Lost Frequencies, Kenny Rogers, John Anderson, Cole Swindell, Jim Lauderdale, Chase Bryant, Clare Dunn, Ricky Van Shelton, Jack Ingram, George Ducas, David Ball, Casey James, Wade Hayes, Gretchen Wilson, Andy Griggs, Jedd Hughes, Jason Michael Carroll, James Otto, Gord Bamford, Emerson Drive and Rosie Flores.

In 2004 Terry co-wrote American Idol finalist Josh Gracin’s top five single “Stay With Me/Brass Bed”. He followed that up by co-writing “Play Something Country” with Ronnie Dunn, which was the fastest rising single of Brooks and Dunn’s career and was also the final #1 song for the award winning duo. Terry has had over 25 songs recorded by Brooks & Dunn, which led to 13 singles and 12 BMI million air awards.

In memory of Norfolk native, Abby Nicole, $5 of every ticket sold will be donated to Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority Scholarship Fund.
