Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

We are organizing a march to express concern for the care of our environment and planet's health. We ask our city and state legislators to support the Paris Climate Agreement and Clean Power Plan despite the current presidential administration's opposition to both. Attend the march and tell our legislators it's time to move swiftly towards the use of sustainable energy and limit the dangerous use of fossil fuels!

We will meet at Sally Beaman Park, 3701 Benham Ave (next to Green Hills Library). The opening rally with music and speakers begins at 10am. After the rally concludes at 11am, we will march to Hillsboro Pike.

There will be a poster making event held Saturday December 2nd at the UAW hall 6207 Centennial blvd. See you there!

Sponsors include:
TN Chapter Sierra Club, Oak Ridge Environmental Peace Alliance,
Nashville Interfaith Power and Light, Vets for Peace, TN Alliance for Progress, 1st Unitarian Universalist Church of Nashville
