  • If you don’t put your Hourly Rate you will not be accepted into the class
  • If you do not enter your MOHS ID correctly you will not be accepted into the class. (See below)
  • We really need your Fringe Benefit rate.  This helps us show the local agencies investment back into the grant-funded classes and the TaskForce.  In the future funding will require like-kind investment by locals.  This is one way you can show a like-kind investment without coming up with matching funds.  If you take advantage of any grant funding classes and want to continue getting grant-funded classes please include all rates on your registration.

The importance of your MOHS ID.  This ID number allows us to marry up all paperwork we track for the TaskForces such as certifications, training records, deployment cost, specific agency reimbursements, and many other documents.

About Mississippi Office of Homeland Security

What is Homeland Security? Homeland Security is a concerted State and National effort to prevent terrorist attacks within the State, reduce our vulnerability to terrorism and or any disaster that may occur, minimize the damage, and recover from events that do occur.

Mississippi has a multi-hazard approach to emergency planning, including terrorism. This means that the state has plans in place to cover all types of disasters. In fact, the State published an Annex to the Comprehensive Plan addressing terrorism preparedness and response in 1999. Since September 11, 2001, the focus has been updating the state's emergency response plan in areas specifically relating to terrorism.
