Free Webinar - NASA's BEST Atomic Clock - A Technology Demonstration Mission

Target Audience: Educators of Grades 5-10

July 2nd at 6pm Eastern, 3pm Pacific

Join NASA’s Beginning Engineering, Science and Technology (BEST) Educators for a free 60-minute educator professional development webinar. Participating educators will learn how NASA is using atoms to have the most precise accounting of time. With NASA's BEST Atomic Clock Activity Guide, participants will explore the engineering design process to demonstrate the importance of calibration of clocks. Participants will create a gradation system for a simple clock that they construct. Teaching connections will be made to real-world applications and NASA missions. Learn how to incorporate engineering challenges and the engineering design process into your school science program.
