When & Where
Nigerian-American Multicultural Council (NAMC)
NAMC is a Houston based non-profit, 501 (c) (3), organization that seeks to build a vibrant Nigerian community in Houston and serve as a bridge between the Nigerian community and the greater Houston community.
A new generation of Nigerian-Americans has emerged: Nigerian-Americans, who were born in the United States of America, or brought to America at a very young age. To preserve the Nigerian culture in these children, the older generation must proactively strive to expose them to the culture, values, ethics and traditions of their parents. Failure to preserve their Nigerian heritage may cause the bond between Nigeria and the new generation to be severed.
NAMC focuses on four core areas: professional development, mentorship, cultural enrichment, and community development.
• Nigerian Houston Community
• General Houston Community
• Nigerians in Diaspora
• Nigerian Young Professionals, University Students, and Youths
