Event description

Description

Come join NABA Metro DC as we join Project GiveBack in their 22nd Annual Thanksgiving Food Distribution on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Barry Farm Recreation Center! As volunteers, we will be assembling food baskets from 7:30am to 9:30am for the underserved within our local NABA chapter’s community.

Last year, volunteers delivered boxes full of food to over 2,000 families within our local community. Project Giveback is a child friendly organization; children are welcome at the event, as Project GiveBack believes you are never too young to learn the importance of “Giving Back”. Project GiveBack also provides community service hours for students who attend schools where this is a requirement.

The location is accessible by both car and the Anacostia Metro Station on the Green Line.

A light breakfast will be provided including coffee, morning juices and water so don’t worry about stopping by your local morning cafe because Project GiveBack has you covered!
