About this event

The NAACP Memphis Branch celebrates 103 years of fighting for the advancement of people of color. This year we launch our Freedom Fund series with a virtual panel, The New Pandemic: Crime. Join us as we discuss the intersections of crime, social unrest, and the pandemic in our community.

This year's event will feature a dynamic group of panelists including:

  • Rep. Karen Camper, TN. House Minority Leader
  • Hilary O. Shelton, Director to the NAACP's Washington Bureau

As one of the largest branches of the NAACP, the Memphis Branch is honored to uphold the traditions and responsibilities of the nation’s oldest civil rights organization.  The primary focus continues to be the protection and enhancement of the civil rights of people of color.

Our Mission is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination.
