Description
Join us for an information session about the Mythos Challenge and how you can join the Youth Council.
From January to June 2015, students will be offered an opportunity to work with the Portland Art Museum and professionals in Oregon’s burgeoning digital storytelling cluster. They represent industries including film, software and game development, museum and library sciences, and more.
The Mythos Challenge, asks youth to create a digital interactive story, a game, or a mobile app inspired by the upcoming museum exhibition, Gods and Heroes: Masterpieces from the École des Beaux-Arts, Paris. Winning entries which represent its theme will be played throughout the exhibit and eligible for Youth Play Fund awards totalling $5000.
For those located near Multnomah County, youth ages 14-18 can gain important leadership skills by joining the Mythos Council: A Digital Storytelling Youth Council.
The youth council leads the Mythos Challenge. The Mythos Council is an amazing opportunity for youth to gain college, career, and professional development. By participating, youth have fun and gain practical experience in important skills such as Project Management, Event Planning, Interactive Design, and Policy Making.
We hope you and your community organization will join the Mythos Challenge, and we appreciate the opportunity to meet you.
