Event description

Description

Enjoy a ghost tour without having to drive downtown - or worry about parking in the loop!

Adam Selzer, author of GHOSTS OF CHICAGO, HH HOLMES: THE TRUE HISTORY OF THE WHITE CITY DEVIL, MYSTERIOUS CHICAGO, and more than a dozen other books will be leading a fascinating, hilarious, and spooky tour of famous and lesser-known haunted Chicago spots. This is one of only a few bus tours he will run this Halloween season.

Behind every great ghost story is great history - Adam has spent over a decade investigating legends, sorting fact from fiction, and weaving what he finds into incredible stories for his tours and books. You might have seen him talking about ghosts and other strange things from Chicago History on Haunted History, Mysteries at the Museum, Hotel Secrets and Legends, American Ripper, or several other shows on History, Travel and Discovery. He has researhed and written extensively on HH Holmes, Hull House, Resurrection Mary, and other stories that will be featured on the tour. In 2018 and 2019 he has hosted the Haunted History tours for the Lincoln Park Zoo.

The tour will board in the parking lot of Crossroads Community Church (5433 S Austin in Garfield Ridge/Clearing area - you can park in their lot) and will last between 2 and 2.5 hours, getting off the bus at several stops. It's reasonably family-friendly, but some stories may be too spooky or gruesome for young children (this is Chicago history, after all!)

See mysteriouschicago.com for full the October schedule of Mysterious Chicago cemetery tours, ghost tours, HH Holmes tours, and more!
