Myco-Phytoremediation Research: Water Quality Health & Pollinator Habitat
Farmers, riparian buffer installers and land tenders join us for an informative workshop about Myco-Phytoremediation Research & strategies
About this event
Join us for a workshop co-led by Shelburne Farms Farm manager Dana Bishop, Non-native Species Removal Consultant Mike Bald of 'Got Weeds', and Environmental Scientist & practitioner Jess Rubin of MycoEvolve in an informative on-site workshop which shares natural strategies of restoring native polyculture riparian habitat with no chemicals, explores below and above ground data from 1.5 years of field and laboratory research, and discusses complex dynamics of attempting to mitigate phosphorus pollution and habitat fragmentation through Myco-Phytoremediation techniques.
This research is funded by SARE NE, the Lintilhac Foundation, & the UVM College of Agriculture & Life Science James W. Marvin Award in Science and Conservation.
