Welcome to the My Utopia Series!
Join us at the Zaha Hadid Foundation for the My Utopia Series screening. You are invited to participate in the animated short film screening by sharing your thoughts, experiences about inclusive spaces and how it can be improved. For people with disabilities, mini cards will be on display to share your stories and ideas for the next episode of the My Utopia series. We aim to amplify the voices of disabled and/or neurodivergent individuals, whose perspectives are often marginalized due to a 'one-size-fits-all' mentality.
Episode 1: Inclusive city, depicts the daily experiences of a wheelchair user, the effect their disability has on them and what they require to feel safe when they are outdoors.
Episode 2: Deaf Barrier, depicts the daily experiences of a Deaf character, the effect their disability has on them and what they require to communicate in society.
Both films offer diverse perspectives, giving people with disabilities from different parts of the city the opportunity to share their lived experiences.
