Event description

Description

Hike, explore, and play at this nature-based My Turn event! Walk our one-mile loop to Black Pond and dip a net into the water to find insects, amphibians, and plants. Try your hand at making bubbles big and small, or walk a shorter trail to find birds hiding in the trees. You can also see live animals, try hands-on activities, and explore our site using our app for iPads designed specifically with your family in mind.

All participants should come dressed for the weather and be prepared to get messy and try new things! Accompanying adults should view our "Guidelines for Grown-ups" and "Dressing for the Weather" guides for more information on how to get the most out of your family's visit.

Download our app here:https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/leslie-science-trail-app/id1015193483?mt=8

Do you use a stroller, wheelchair, or other mobility device? While most activities will be in ADA accessible areas and buildings, our wooded trails are not paved or wood chipped and are difficult to navigate by strollers, wheelchairs, and other mobility devices. Please contact Etta Heisler, Camp & Public Programs Director if you would like to discuss how we can make this program most accessible for your family, 734-997-1553.

Space is limited and registration is required.
