Description

My True Colors Festival is an annual multidisciplinary arts event, taking place June 14 - July 2, 2017 at multiple venues in Brooklyn, New York. Now in its third season, MTCF has received submissions from across the country and around the globe and has showcased plays, documentaries, film shorts, feature films, web series originals, dance and musical acts as well as workshops for and by Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning, Intersex and Asexual (LGBTQIA+) storytellers and communities of color. This includes one-on-one conversations with notable celebrities and allies such as ABC's Black-ish actress Jenifer Lewis and For Colored Girls... playwright Ntozake Shange. What's more, since inception MTCF have been recognized as an Official NYC Pride Event Partner.

Opening Night Special Screening:

4:00 PM - 5:30 PM

90 Days, a poignant story from director Nathan Hale Williams and executive producer Jussie Smollett, about a young couple confronting the challenges of loving with HIV.

One-On-One Conversation Series: HIV/AIDS Awareness & Living Positively Fearless to follow.


5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Love@First Night, original web series presented by Slay TV, romantic comedy about two men finding love after a hook up.

Talkback with cast and Slay TV founder and CEO Sean Torrington to follow.
