Girl Dancing and Singing

In this camp, young thinkers will have the chance to tell their own stories through music, create music from their stories, and have an awesome time showcasing their artistry.

Students will invent their own instruments, play with song parodies, and improvise a group musical. They'll learn about volume dynamics, leimotifs, and how key changes are used in movies and popular songs for effective storytelling.

My Story, My Song encourages confidence-building and exploration. Students will show how inspiring they can be -- not only to each other but to themselves!

Instructor: Staci Mahaffey, Taleblazers. Ages: 9-12. Min/Max # students: 3/12. Tuition: $200. Materials fee: $10. (Portfolios, handouts, materials for inventing instruments.)

Mix and Match (optional): Lunchtime Supervision is $30 ($6/day). Please be sure to purchase the My Story, My Song 2014 with Lunchtime Supervision ticket.
