About My Life Matters

This story is about Nicole Gray, a well-known Professor and mother who is known for talking everyone else off the ledge and helping them to cope with life but can’t seem to keep her home together.

On October 31, 2015, the Professor was involved with a hit and run accident that left a 16-year-old girl for dead. On top of that the Professor is dealing with her own demons surrounding mental illness. In her dark place, she goes into a deep depression where she attempts to take her own life following the path of her mother who took her life after witnessing her husband’s dirty act.

My Life Matters are a combination of true stories from the director to the actor’s real issues surrounding suicide, sexual abuse, and teen bullying. It’s a song and dance presented on stage unlike no other. With a pair of wireless headphones, and a smartphone full of music from all walks of life this musical is designed to bring the soul back home. With special tribute to the late Don Cornelius from Soul Train, Golden Krust’s CEO Lowell Hathorne and the musical legend Donny Hathaway. These greats has took their lives and will forever live on my stage.
