About the speakers:

Cristiane Teles Maia was born in São Paulo, Brazil and moved to New York when she was nine years old. Since joining Industrial Light & Magic in 2015, she has worked as a render support technical assistant on the Star Wars films, and also served as a resource assistant on several other works including Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Deepwater Horizon. Recently she's taken on new challenges as an external assistant technical director while working on The Irishman, The Mandalorian, and various other projects.

Ini Oladosu joined Industrial Light & Magic in 2020 as a Production Assistant. He was born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria before immigrating to Calgary, Canada with his family in 2000. Between 2019 and 2021, Ini co-wrote and co-produced his award-winning debut short film, Framed. The film has been selected into various film festivals and most recently won the award for Best Edit at the 2021 London International Monthly Film Festival.

About My Journey Chats: This weekly series of virtual discussions is designed to give K-12 students an opportunity to hear directly from professionals and to expose students to pathways available to them with a strong foundation in computer science. Discussions are structured as informal Q&As lasting 30 minutes. Topics include:

How the speaker came to be where they are today, including other career paths they considered and obstacles they faced
Descriptions of the speaker’s work and the role that computer science plays
The role that mentors, professional connections, and support networks have played in their career journeys
