Description

Using Our Voice & Vote

How women lobby, influence, campaign, and frame issues, including with people who have opposing views.

There is no more powerful way to initiate significant social change than to start a conversation. When a group of people discover that they share a common concern, that's when the process of change begins.
— Margaret Wheatley

The MWP Conversations series brings women together to discuss how our mobilized community can use its power to affect meaningful change.

In this October 16 event, we engage with experts who offer concrete tools for storytelling and relationship building in the political process. We will leave the event with new connections and resources leading up to the midterm elections as well as for post-election lobbying.

Join us for this incredible evening of conversation and action with the powerful everyday women who make up the Minnesota Women’s Press community.

October 16 is the last day for online voter registration! If needed, bring a form of identification (SS card or drivers license) and register on site.

IF THE $50 PER-PERSON COST FOR THE SIT-DOWN DINNER AND EVENING IS NOT IN YOUR BUDGET RIGHT NOW, CONTACT EVENTS@WOMENSPRESS.COM AND WE WILL ADD YOU TO A LIST. Discounts and comps will be available thanks to donations from other participants and our growing list of sponsors and table organizations.
