What: CPR: Basic Life Support
With the release of the first ever veterinary specific CPR guidelines in June 2012, many now wonder what the current recommendations are. This lecture will focus on the most up to date recommendations for basic life support. Through videos participants will leave understanding what type of compressions to perform on different breeds to how best to ventilate a patient.

Amy is currently employed at BluePearl Massachusetts inWaltham, Massachusetts as the Emergency Head Technician. In 2003 she became boarded as a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care. She currently sits on the Academy of Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Technicians board as the President-Elect. Amy is well published in over 15 subjects, is an international speaker, has received numerous awards and highly involved in her community. Most recently Amy was awarded the Technician Speaker of the Year at the 2014 NAVC Conference and the Technician Speaker of the Year at the 2015 WVC Conference.
