Best Buddy Sponsors 2014

Dakin Humane Society’s 6th Annual Mutts & Mimosas, will return to Quonquont Farm in Whately, MA on Sunday, September 30th, 2018. Event is Rain or Shine.

This September, event guests and their pups will heighten their senses with a taste-bud-tantalizing brunch buffet (menu details on our website) among the crisp, fresh, apple scented air of the season. In its 6th year, Mutts & Mimosas has become a “must-do” event for dogs and their two-legged besties. Proceeds from the event directly support Dakin Humane Society mission to deliver effective, innovative services that improve the lives of animals in need and the people who care about them.

Hosted by the premier Quonquont Farm in its rustic barn and bucolic countryside, this unique occasion will feature a Mimosa Bar with a variety of mimosas to be sampled lined with fresh fruits and a specialty apple cider mimosa. Guests’ ears will perk up with live music by Banish Misfortune, a six-member group playing traditional Irish music.

Private doggie/human reiki sessions will soothe that behind the ear itch and a photo booth for dogs and their humans will commemorate this delightful, Autumn occasion. Other dog-friendly activities include:

  • Nose work: dog treasure hunt in which your pup will sniff out the goods
  • Agility training with Caryl-Rose Pofcher
  • Canine bobbing for apples
  • Dog walking trail around Quonquont Farm
  • Caricatures

Additional fundraising efforts at the event include a raffle of puptacular items. Winners will be drawn at the event on September 30th. Entrants do not need to be present during the drawing to win.

Dakin Humane Society is a community supported animal welfare organization that provides shelter, medical care, adoption services, spay/neuter services, and behavioral rehabilitation for nearly 20,000 animals each year. Since its inception in 1969, Dakin has become one of the most recognized nonprofit organizations in the Pioneer Valley and a national leader in animal welfare.

Tickets are $60 per human and honored four-legged guests are complimentary. Early bird tickets for humans are available for $50 through September 10. Meal tickets for dogs are $10 (chicken, gravy and rice).
