Description

CAIR-NJ, Princeton Students of Salaam (SOS), and the Princeton University Muslim Students Association (PUMSA) cordially invite you to CAIR-NJ's Muslim Youth Leadership Symposium (MYLS) on October 21st.

Held annually, MYLS is an initiative by CAIR-NJ to engage high school students across New Jersey with a proactive agenda for positive activism and empower them to guide their communities from the margin to the mainstream. This year's MYLS will take place in the form of a one-day Model Congress Conference. Students from across the state will have the opportunity to engage in thought provoking debate, discussion, and policy making.

MYLS 2018 will follow an adapted model of the National Model Congress Rules of Procedure guide. It will feature three committees: The Senate, Senate Committee on Foriegn Relations, and Presidential Cabinet. Each committee will be chaired by a group of qualified college students and graduates. Committee topics guides, specific information pertaining to procedure and schdule will be distributed to all conference attendees by October 1st. Attendees will also be asked to submit a brief position paper by October 14th.

Use this Eventbrite registration to secure your spot at MYLS 2018. At checkout, attendees will be prompted to rank their committee choice and submit a short response to the question: Why is community activism and engagement important to you?
