Event Details

Join Read Muskegon and NCFL for the first Muskegon County Literacy Coalition Convening.  This three-hour workshop is designed to:

  • Share NCFL's findings of the initial community assessment
  • Activate community partners to formally launch the literacy coalition
  • Formally incorporate parent and resident voice as an essential component of the coalition moving forward
  • Determine short and long-term initiatives for the coalition to lead

No single government agency or nonprofit organization can independently resolve the literacy crisis that exists in our county. With this knowledge, Read Muskegon seeks to develop a Literacy Coalition to create the conditions for initial, sustainable, and dramatic improvements in the literacy of all people, birth through adulthood, who live in Muskegon County, Michigan.

Join partners from across the county who are committed to making a difference through collaboration.
