MusicArt London is a series of conceptual concerts. Each concert aims to explore the inspiration and creative process shared between music and the visual arts. The launch MusicArt concert is inspired by Christopher Le Brun, President of the Royal Academy of Arts, and his recent interview on BBC Radio 3’s Private Passions. Annie Yim, pianist and MusicArt founder, explores the musicality of the artist's works at his exhibition 'Colour' within the gallery of Katrin Bellinger at Colnaghi. The piano recital on Thursday 22 October features the world premiere of a new work 'Abstracts' by British composer Richard Birchall, which is dedicated to this exhibition. Joined in conversation by Le Brun, the evening's programme ranges from romanticism to impressionism with works by Grieg, Berg, Ravel and Debussy.

When & Where
MusicArt London, founded in 2015 by Annie Yim, engages the vibrant London art world through live performances of historical and contemporary music. With an emphasis on sharing the creative process, each Conceptual Concert celebrates mutual inspiration between musicians, artists, and art spaces through the commissioning of new works in different art forms. Since its launch at Colnaghi gallery with artist Christopher Le Brun, President of the Royal Academy of Arts, MusicArt London has continued to forge relationships with contemporary artists from diverse disciplines. With music at the heart of each project, these collaborations have resulted in new works including piano composition, book art installation, poetry, and dance choreography. Their commissions have been featured in Gramophone Magazine and New York Times T Magazine.
