We are pleased to announce, after the success of our first choral workshop, Polyhymnia will again join forces with international guest artist and early music and choral specialist JanJoost van Elburg to offer a weekend workshop focusing on the magnificent music composed by Philippe Rogier and Nicolas Gombert.

The centerpiece will be Rogier's Missa Ego sum qui sum, composed during the reign of Phillip II of Spain on a motet by Nicolas Gombert, who worked for Phillp's father, Charles V.

Polyhymnia will be performing the same repertoire on our November concert and the workshop will provide a unique opportunity to gather New York’s choral community together, crossing the usual stylistic lines to explore and discover this rarely performed repertoire.

The workshop is open to all choral singers who can read music.

Music will be provided for download in advance of the event. If you wish, you are welcome to view samples of the music.

If you have questions please feel free to contact us at: info@polyhymnia-nyc.org
