R&B singer-songwriter LaRita Gaskins is a DC native who’s shared the stage with greats like Aretha Franklin, Rick James, Patti LaBelle, Debbie Harry and more. More recently, she’s made the musical move into smooth jazz, and her latest project, the retro soul single “Funk in De Pocket,” reflects that groove.
