Music in the Noon Hour: Get Bach Short midday performances by Smith faculty and friends.

About this event

The Smith College Department of Music's Music in the Noon Hour continues with a special Fall 2021 series of short midday Bach concerts. In person audiences are limited to Smith and Five College community members in the testing programs.

For those who can not attend in person, the concerts will be livestreamed. Register here to receive the links.

October 13 – 12:30

Music in the Noon Hour: Get Bach I Tristan Teo, Iva Dee Hiatt Visiting Artist in Piano and Joel Pitchon, violin, will perform Bach’s Sonata in B minor for Keyboard and Violin

November 10 – 12:30 PM

Music in the Noon Hour: Get Bach II Iva Dee Hiatt Visiting Artist in Piano Tristan Teo and other esteemed members of the music faculty will perform Bach’s thrilling Keyboard Concerto in D Minor, BWV 1052 (with string quartet and continuo).

December 8 – 12:30 PM

Music in the Noon Hour: Get Bach III Members of the music department perform vocal works of the Baroque era, including a cantata of J.S. Bach and duets of Monteverdi and Strozzi with Katherine Saik and Paige Graham, sopranos.
