Description

An entirely new and the most unusual program will take you on a whirlwind emotional journey from classical masterpieces through Oscar-winning movies to Russian, Jewish, and Chinese folk melodies.

Only ONE Philadelphia stop as part of a US tour by internationally renowned musician, concert pianist and conductor Lance Wiseman and Israeli-Ukrainian violinist Alexander Spivak.

With International Arts Festival Consort, which will accompany Mr. Wiseman and Mr. Spivak during their performance of “Spring” from Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons.”

• Admire the virtuosic and heartwarming Piano Concerto No. 3 by Rachmaninov, said to be the most difficult piano piece ever written.

• Relive the tragedy and triumph of Jewish-Australian pianist David Helfgott, the hero of 1996 Oscar-winning movie “Shine.”

• Dive into traditional Russian and Chinese music performed by native musicians on authentic folk instruments.

• Let yourself go and dance to the energetic tunes of colorful and crazy “The Flying Halerchkas” Klezmer Band.

Conveniently located in the heart of Northeast Philadelphia, easily accessible from Route 1 and 95. Plenty of free parking.
