Event Details

The talented young soprano, Nelleke Ladipo is presenting a choral concert with treble Thomas Parfitt, flautist Jessica Ferguson and organist Antony Baldwin. The concert will be a mixture of classical pieces, including pieces by Bach, Pergolesi and Schubert, contrasted with numbers by Rogers and Gershwin.

Nelleke Ladipo

Nelleke is currently studying at Wells Cathedral School where she was a chorister until 2009. She now sings with the chapel choir at Wells and the National Youth choir. Nelleke's distringuished career includes performances for the Countesses of Wessex and Cornwall; recordings of CDs for Hyperion and Region record companies; singing at the funeral of Harry Patch; and touring with the choir to France and Germany.

Nelleke has a gorgeous soprano voice, and is an extremely musical interpreter of songs. She is looking for opportunities to gain experience and widen her repertoire as a soprano singer, and regularly accepts engagements to sing at weddings and memorial services. Nelleke's website is http://www.nelleke.co.uk

Nelleke's myspace page is http://www.myspace.com/nellekeladipo

Nelleke is joined by other talented young artistes:

Thomas Parfitt: is a pupil of Dulwich College where he is a regular soloist at the Chapel Choir. He is a member of the National Youth Choir and plays the piano and oboe. Previous engagements include the role of Young Nicholas in Britten's St Nicholas.

Jessica Ferguson: has been playing the flute for eight years. She is a member of the Mid-Hertfordshire Senior Concert Band where she is the first flute. She regularly performs at concerts and has performed many solos.

Ijeoma Mbubaegbu: studied music at Brunel University, specialising in classical piano and early keyboard. As well as a busy teaching practice, Ijeoma is assistant Musical Director for Youth Music Theatre UK studio and accompanist at two churches.
